My kids have been very good at finding ways to not be bored, although they might get too creative and end up getting in trouble. If anyone is to get bored around my house, it's usually me. When the hubby is home and takes over the tv and the kids are off playing by themselves and I'm just so tired of watching Netflix, I'm the bad influence who looks at my husband and says, "I'm bored!"

This usually just happens when I've been stuck inside my house days on end. I stay at home with the kids and summer is BORING!

I enjoyed this very much. www.figuringitout101.comBrittany Vantreasehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07031889863481625710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1165713352639219626.post-26662263917102260682018-04-22T08:45:33.071-07:002018-04-22T08:45:33.071-07:00I think it is great that you recognize all the way...I think it is great that you recognize all the ways your Mom taught you independence along the way to adulthood!Lauren Markmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00543108748331465987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1165713352639219626.post-81825664165205989302018-04-21T21:44:59.837-07:002018-04-21T21:44:59.837-07:00Making your son cook dinner twice a month is such ...Making your son cook dinner twice a month is such a good idea to promote independence. I believe that teaching kids to do things on their own not only helps with laziness but it also prepares them for the skills they will need in the real world. My mom has 4 brothers and sisters besides herself, so when we all get together we have a huge gathering. I love growing up close with my cousins and aunts and uncles. I hope to give my son the same type of close knit family! I would have kindly stood up, and told mom and/or dad to come assistance their child or he would have had to figure it out on his own. What they did, underhandedly, was turn the responsibility of their children over to strangers. There's no secret to traveling with children successfully. Planning is the key. Great post.
